Friends of Dance = Dance Arts Scholarship
Celebrating Educational Excellence in Dance
Friends of Dance annual membership dollars contribute to scholarships for our beautiful dancers. Ms. Word distributes the funds at her discretion to a deserving student or with low income status. The Dance Arts Scholarship brings together artistic professionals, academic educators, and corporate leaders who believe arts education is an investment central to the development, maintenance, and growth of our most important asset, our youth. Our goal is to award 10 students each semester from 1st to 12th grade. Students may submit applications by deadline each semester. This scholarship is awarded to both new and returning students which are nomimated by the One Word Productions Staff and Community Partners. Each scholarship winner receives an award at the end of the year showcase and are listed on the website.

How to apply:
Complete the above application and send by mail to One Word Productions 60-A Millard Farmer Ind Blvd Newnan Ga 30263.

You may complete application at the studio Monday - Thursday 4pm-7pm.
Scholarship Recipients:
Students are notified by in writing by the One Word Productions' Staff. All scholarship recipients will be highlighted on the One Word Productions website. They are announced at the end of year recital where they’ll receive an award.
Eligibility Requirements for new dance students
- Achieve perfect attendance
- Maintain a 90 average on recent report card
- Write a one page essay entitled “Why Dance is good”
- Willing to rehearse 3 dance styles a week
Eligibility Requirements for returning dance students
- Currently enrolled for one full year and taking at least 2 different dance styles at One Word Productions.
- Demonstrated exceptional talent, desire, and commitment to One Word Productions Dance Studio.
- Have performed in the End of Year recital.
Award
$330 per child
Scholarship Dismissal
Students who fail to maintain responsibilities are displaying unsatisfactory progress and may forfeit the dance scholarships. These will be reviewed on an individual basis. Students are evaluated once each dance semester.
